In support of the Weld Monitoring Unit and associated micro welding applications, Bespoke Electronics is pleased to offer totally independent micro welding consultancy, spot weld optimisation and micro welding expertise derived from many years experience working with a worldwide broad base of micro welding applications and customers.

Micro Welding process analysis and understanding is by far the most important aspect in achieving a good quality, repeatable micro welding process.  In many cases, it is quite common that manufacturing welding processes will have been derived from historic experience without a full appreciation of what may or may not be achievable or optimal with the welding equipment used.

• Understanding, documenting  and controlling a micro welding process should be considered the First Priority before contemplating the option to add an external weld monitor. Monitoring a highly variable process is not sensible !

With it’s process measurement signals, a weld monitoring system should help in gaining a better understanding of a micro joining process but it will not resolve fundamental manufacturing process issues.  In the majority of cases, a full audit and review of the welding process will likely reveal areas of consideration that are likely to improve the Quality of the welding process and therefore it’s subsequent suitability to monitoring.
